The High School Library Conducted its 1st Virtual Library Orientation for the Junior High and Senior High School Students
August 30, 2021— The High School Library conducted its 1st virtual library orientation for the Junior High and Senior High School Students last August 23-24 & 26, 2021.
Mrs. Rizalyn Pillora, High School Librarian hosted the orientation. The orientation aimed to introduce the students about the Electronic Library website, resources, collections and services in the new normal.
Mrs.Rizalyn Pillora presented the library vision, mission, objectives, guidelines, policies and facilities of the library and introduces the University Library Staff. She presented the books, serials collection for the high school department, e-resources, open access and the research output collections. She discussed the library services in the new normal, and how to access the online services using the online forms provided on the library’s website. In addition, she presented the library’s instructional video which shows a step-by-step process of accessing online library services. Furthermore, she showed the previous events of the University Library that have been conducted in the past years.
At the end of the orientation, she asked the students to like and share the facebook page of the university library, and encouraged the students to utilize the online library services and promote the use of the electronic library for their research needs, and also encouraged the students to join the annual national book week celebration.
